2 Day Tai Chi Training

Welcome to the Tai Chi Training information page!
It is my true honor and pleasure to invite my teacher, Suman Barkhas, to Limber Tree Yoga Studio, to offer a wonderful 2-part Tai Chi training! Suman has been a contractor with the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division since February 2010. He has trained and certified over 600 TCMBB instructors, over 500 instructors in the Nebraska Injury & Fall Prevention and over 100 instructors in the Florida Area Agency on aging.Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition and is a graceful form of physical movement. It involves a series of movements practiced in a slow, focused manner is accompanied by full even breathing patterns.Tai chi, is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion with the breath.Tai Chi is a mindful, low-impact activity that is accessible for all ages and fitness levels. Join us: June 23rd 24th 11:30AM-6:30PM (both days). This training will include teaching practice as well as instruction of 8 forms, as well as a program implementation guide and instruction pamphlet feature extensive information on teaching tips, class schedules, classroom organization, class preparation, etc. Day two features an orientation to the guide with time for questions. Upon completion of the training, trainees will be sent video links at least 1 week before class of a DVD of 8 forms standing, seated, and chair-assisted created by Suman.
